Alabama Geriatric Care Manager Amy Roberson
Amy Roberson is a Certified Care Manager from the National Academy of Certified Care Managers. She has been an Advanced Professional member of the Aging Life Care Association since 2015. Amy holds a Bachelor of Science degree and a Master’s of Education degree in Counseling from the University of Montevallo.
Amy Roberson has worked in mental health, hospice and elder care. She has over 25 years of experience in the health care industry. Her career began in mental health, where she worked for fifteen years. After leaving the out-patient setting, Amy worked for eight years with patients, families, and health professionals as a Bereavement Coordinator for in-home hospice. Further on, she served as a Coordinator for an elder law firm, and received her Certification in Elder Care Coordination.
Amy helped care for both of her parents. She understands the feelings of being overwhelmed, and the complexity of the responsibility. Her primary goal is to help seniors and those who care for seniors navigate the complicated health care system while helping them find, receive, and pay for quality care.
