Delaware Aging Care Manager Erin Kershaw
Erin Kershaw is a registered nurse and a certified care manager providing services to New Castle County, Delaware. She is the co-founder and owner of Brandywine Elder Care Management. Her goal is to relieve the stress families face when caring for their aging loved ones.
Erin earned her BSN from the University of Pennsylvania and had a career in nursing. Following an experience assisting with her grandmother’s care needs, she was motivated to pursue a Masters in Long Term Care Administration. Further on, she obtained a specialized Certification in Gerontology from West Chester University.
An advocate for geriatric care and long term care, Erin serves on the Mid-Atlantic Chapter board of the Aging Life Care Association® (ALCA). Similarly, she was the Unit Leader for the Philadelphia Unit of ALCA for several years. In addition, Erin also holds the designation of Care Manager Certified (CMC) by the National Academy of Certified Care Managers (NACCM) and belongs to the Chester County Faith Community Health Ministry Network.
In fact, some clients refer to Erin as a “rented daughter with expertise.” This is because she spent years helping her parents as they navigated medical appointments and living arrangements for her grandmother who lived out of state. Erin helped with remote coordination of care by local providers to ultimately address end-of-life care needs.
