Joan Carbow Geriatric Care Manager
Joan Garbow is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker. Additionally, she is a Certified Case Manager and member of The Aging Life Care Association. As a result, Joan follows the code of ethics defined by ALCA and takes tremendous pride in the work she does helping seniors. In addition, Joan was elected Vice President of the New England Chapter of the Aging Life Care Association through 2021. Moreover, Ms. Garbow was president of the Board of Directors for the Connecticut Geriatrics Society. Also, she was an affiliate of the American Geriatrics Society (2017-2019). Further, she was Vice President of the Gloria Gray Foundation, a philanthropic foundation that supports various organizations serving women, children, seniors, people with disabilities.
Joan Garbow received her Master’s degree in Social Work from Columbia University, and holds a Bachelor’s degree in Clinical Psychology from Tufts University. With over 25 years of professional social work experience focused on seniors, acute care and family services, combined with her ability to develop excellent relationships with her clients, Joan has developed an incredible reputation in the communities she serves.
